What this site is

This is a public blog for games news, reviews, and related coverage. Visitors can read articles, search the site, and watch a Twitch livestream on the homepage when we are live. There is no public registration, commenting, newsletter signup, or contact form.

Only staff and administrators can sign in. That happens through our CMS. Public visitors do not get accounts.

Using the site

You may browse published articles, use site search, and follow links we publish. By using the site you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.

Staff accounts are created by us. Staff sign-in, passwords, passkeys, and CMS access are for people we invite to publish and manage content.

Our content

Articles, reviews, images, logos, and other branding on this site belong to Press X To Skip unless we say otherwise. You may share links to our pages. You may not copy, scrape, or republish our content as your own without our permission.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site to:

  • Break the law or try to break into the site, the CMS, or related services.
  • Overload search, scrape at a scale that disrupts the site, or bypass security.
  • Impersonate Press X To Skip or our staff.

Discord bot

We run a Discord bot in the Press X To Skip Discord server. Its sole purpose is to post to the server’s announcements channel as soon as a new article is published.

The announcement includes:

  • The article title and a short excerpt.
  • A link to the article on this site.
  • The article’s social image, when one exists.
  • The author’s Discord username and avatar, looked up from the staff account’s Discord user ID.

The bot does not read Discord messages, moderate the server, or collect data from visitors to this website.

Third-party links and embeds

Articles and the homepage may link to or embed third-party services, including Twitch, TikTok, YouTube, and X. Those services have their own terms. We do not control what they collect or show after you leave this site.
